Pauma Fiesta – Terms & Conditions

Event Date: October 18, 2025
The Pauma Fiesta is organized and hosted by the Pauma Band of Mission Indians (“Event Organizers”) on the Pauma Reservation. By participating in the Pauma Fiesta as an attendee, vendor, sponsor, or performer, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
1. General Participation

The Pauma Fiesta is a family-oriented community event. All participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully toward others, tribal culture, and the community.

The Event Organizers reserve the right to remove any individual or vendor who engages in behavior that is disruptive, unsafe, disrespectful, or otherwise inconsistent with the spirit of the event.
2. Admission & Access

Admission policies, fees, or ticketing (if applicable) are determined solely by the Event Organizers.

Entry into the event space constitutes consent to abide by all rules, regulations, and policies posted by the Event Organizers.

For the safety of all guests, no weapons, illegal substances, or outside alcohol are permitted.
3. Vendors & Sales

Vendors must comply with all vendor rules, health and safety regulations, and tribal policies.

Vendor sales are independent business transactions between the vendor and the buyer. The Event Organizers are not responsible for disputes, refunds, or exchanges between vendors and attendees.

Vendors are solely responsible for promoting their products, ensuring compliance with food safety laws (if applicable), and carrying any necessary permits or insurance.
4. Refunds

Refunds for vendor fees, sponsorships, merchandise, or event adjustments are governed by the Pauma Fiesta Refund Policy, available on our official website or upon request.

Attendees and vendors acknowledge that the event is rain or shine, and refunds will not be issued except as outlined in the Refund Policy.
5. Liability & Assumption of Risk

By attending the Pauma Fiesta, you acknowledge and assume all risks associated with participating in a public outdoor event, including risks related to weather, natural terrain, or activities on tribal land.

The Event Organizers, the Pauma Band of Mission Indians, and their affiliates are not liable for any personal injury, illness, loss, theft, or damage to property.

Vendors and sponsors agree to hold harmless the Event Organizers for any claims arising from their participation, sales, or activities.
6. Photography, Media & Promotion

By entering the Fiesta grounds, attendees and vendors consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded by the Event Organizers or approved media representatives.

Such materials may be used in promotional, cultural, or educational content without compensation or further approval.
7. Cultural Respect

The Pauma Fiesta is a celebration of Payómkawichum culture and traditions. All participants must act respectfully toward cultural presentations, performers, and ceremonies.

Unauthorized use, misrepresentation, or exploitation of tribal cultural property, songs, stories, or regalia is strictly prohibited.
8. Accessibility

The Pauma Fiesta strives to provide reasonable accommodations to attendees with disabilities. Requests for accommodations should be made at least two weeks prior to the event. See our Accessibility Statement for more information.
9. Event Changes or Cancellation

The Event Organizers reserve the right to reschedule, postpone, modify, or cancel the Fiesta in the event of circumstances beyond their control (including severe weather, emergencies, or safety concerns).

If such a change occurs, participants will be notified, and outcomes (refunds, credits, transfers) will be determined by the Fiesta Committee, as described in the Refund Policy.
10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws and policies of the Pauma Band of Mission Indians.

Any disputes arising from participation in the Fiesta shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of the Pauma Band of Mission Indians.
